Someone has to renew the SSL certificate before it expires on a Sunday, apply PHP updates without breaking the tracking endpoint, keep the database backed up, and notice when the postback URL starts returning errors at 2am. Every click on a smart link passes through it before the visitor reaches your casino, and a slow hop costs conversions you never see. The dashboard can afford half a second; the redirect cannot.
